Spring Is Coming

The weather is warming up here in North Idaho.  We had our last snowfall the last week of February.  Then the temperatures rose above freezing and all the precipitation turned to rain.  The snow has melted, with just a few lingering patches where the snow was piled up to remind us of winter.  The water level in the lake and river have risen nearly back to where they normally are, and there are flood warnings in parts of the county.

We went downtown for a walk over the weekend.  We weren’t the only ones.  Once it gets above 40 degrees here in the spring, people start coming outside.  Cabin fever combined with a non-rainy day on a weekend is a powerful motivator to get out of the house.

What’s the weather like where you are?  Are you still in winter’s icy grip, or is spring showing its face?
